Fantastic, Scott writes about Newtowk EducationWare (NEW) which basically is an open source conferencing tool… how many times have I despaired at something like this not being available! For all I can see now it’s much the same (without some of the bells ‘n whistles) as Elluminate et al… looking forward to playing more!

Best Universities (?)
Hmmm, via Alex here are (supposedly) the World’s top 500 Unis and my, aren’t a lot of them in the US… must be the best place in the world to study, mustn’t it ;o> Couple of obvious gripes are that the fact that this is based solely on ‘academic achievement’ (Alumni of an institution winning …
Keeping an education-related online diary
This is a reprint of the article I mentioned yesterday, the paper concerned don’t archive their web-based stuff so I offered a more permanent home. This was originally published in the Pakistani English language newspaper, Dawn, on January 9, 2005. Keeping an education-related online diary By Hafsa Ahsan Blogs, or weblogs, have caught on fast …

Librarystuff sponsorship
Now this is the kind of getting-paid-for-blogging that I think is cool. Steven Cohen over at librarystuff (edublog award winner!) has announced that he is to be sponsored by Information Today. Skype Me: jamesnfarmer
Have finally got broadband at home (we’re ahead of the pack in Oz I can tell you :O) which may or may not be a good thing… it does, however, mean that I’m on Skype now so please add me to your contacts! Should I bother with running Babble too?
Blogging about blogging
About a year or so ago the person who sent me that rather unpleasant memo (and who has probably got into aggregation in a big way since then… sometimes I feel a bit like a dead man walking (or should that be digging ;o)) said to me and assembled company in his/her infinite wisdom “The …
