About
What is SoulSoup?
Blog about E-Learning, Usability, Knowledge Management, Blog & Virtual Communities, Learning & New Media design and any other knee jerk reaction. A place to consolidate my wanton thoughts.
If you love/hate it too much, drop me a mail at anol@soulsoup.net
Started with the ’soul’ purpose to serve me and myself as a personal knowledge management tool. Soon I realized a blog is more than a PKM tool. First I started with Movable Type engine hosted with a free service provider mBlog (history now – get the story here!). Now thanks to James Farmer, I am enjoying Wordpress and the new home for SoulSoup at Incsub.

Who am I?
I am glad you asked at last! I am Anol Bhattacharya. For last 5+ years I am consulting clients (Cisco Systems Inc, IDC Asia Pacific, HP, Singapore Management University etc.) on behalf of GetIT Singapore, in the field of organizational E-Learning, Knowledge Management, Blog & Virtual Communities, Learning Design, User Experience Design & New Media Marketing.
I joined GetIT in November 2002 and was appointed as COO in 2006. You can find more about my job scope at GetIT @ www.getitcomms.com.
In my previous life I worked as IBM AS/400 programmer and information architect for web media.
I am passionate about harnessing the power of internet as an enabler, connecting people and ideas and driving innovation.I can keep on writing about myself, but what’s the point – won’t you rather like to read my posts?
Why SoulSoup?
Honestly, I don’t know! There was some far fetched meaning of the name I thought of initially, but now I can’t remember! Easiest explanation – the name sounded cool, and the domain name was available (www.soulsoup.net). Well, if you still want to try that hard – here it goes
Soul:
The animating and vital principle in humans, credited with the faculties of thought, action, and emotion and often conceived as an immaterial entity.
OR
A strong, deeply felt emotion conveyed by a speaker, a performer, or an artist.
Soup:
A liquid food prepared from meat, fish, or vegetable stock combined with various other ingredients and often containing solid pieces. Basically- easily digestible health food
OR
A liquid rich in organic compounds and providing favorable conditions for the emergence and growth of life forms: primordial soup.
OR
Chaos!
Be creative now, do your permutation-combination-rip-mix and come up with the meaning yourself.
