Music Video? Gallery of Infographics? Philosophical statement? You decide!

This nice music video “Remind Me” is from Röyksopp, an electronic music duo based in Bergen, Norway composed of Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge.

A day in the life of an average working Jill, broken down into its minutest component parts. The unstated joke: mankind has erected immense, resource-devouring systems of almost incomprehensible complexity just so you can sit in your cubicle.

To me it’s a gallery of beautiful infographics! What do you think?

This wonderful little clip on YouTube has been picked up by various bloggers too numerous to mention. Some interpret in the context of modernity, others as infrastructure. I think it speaks at various levels: the inter-connectiveness of the world, possibly an expression of the tedium of modern living, maybe an element of existential angst. Whatever it makes you think, its entertaining and engaging without being twee.
