Tips for increasing productivity in blog reading

How to get the most of your blog reading from To-Done

  1. Group your feeds by order of importance.
  2. Set aside a time (or times) during your day to read.
  3. Use “mark all as read” liberally.
  4. Weed your reading list on a regular basis.
  5. Set your newsreader to check only a few times a day.
  6. Make use of services like Del.icio.us, Digg and Technorati to find those diamonds in the rough.
  7. Slow down and read.
  8. Ditch a few link blogs.
  9. ..if you read lots of blogs in the same space [you are] unlikely to miss anything you really should be reading.
  10. Understand that a day not paying attention to blogs is a day you can spend doing something productive. They’ll be there when you get back.

  1. Hi Anol,

I’ve not stopped by your blog in a while, few months, but it’s looking good.

I’ve recently undergone a major overhaul to using WordPress, and I still have lots of loose ends to fix, broken links, incomplete catogories and no funtioning RSS feed of my own or aggregation of others. I may be taking some tips from your site.

How is your “Tag Cloud” implemented ?
