Blogtalk Downunder

Example of humanities blog research

For example the collected essays in “Into the Blogosphere” which, while premised by the byline “Rhetoric, Community and Culture of Weblogs” are an excellent illustration of the work produced where the blogs are primarily considered to be textual objects. In this tradition researchers are more interested in what blogs do, rather than what they are. They may, in this approach, still fuss over definitions of what a blog is, after all with a new field you generally first have to declare your view of what constitutes it before you go on to describe or conduct your specific research!
