  • general discussion
  • discussion tables
  • a list of possible projects
  • small groups (ideally 3 people) working on things together

Design in business strategy

with one comment

Why design? from AIGA [Download the PDF ]

What designers offer to clients is a way of thinking. The “Why” booklet outlines the role of design in business strategy. It seeks a common framework for why design adds value to clients’ interests. The booklet is written for our designer members, to provide some core messages for which we can create a common chorus. It defines the power of Designing, a larger concept that includes strategy as well as artifacts across a variety of disciplines.

AIGA is creating an online archive of case studies that demonstrate the value of the framework through real-world projects. Browse projects by leading designers and contribute your own!

You can also find a nice Flash presentation on Process of designing Solution here

Online Mind-Mapping S/W

with 8 comments

I am a user of Mind-Maps for long time, started with pen and paper, moved to Freemind, tried out MindManager

Now I am really exited to see the online Mind Mapping applications! is little kiddish – didn’t quite like it! But MindMeister is awesome.

You can create professional quality Mind-maps, Import Freemind and Mind Manager mind-maps and top of that – you can share and co edit your mind-maps with your peers online. Some good reviews are here and there

The service is in Private Beta now. If you want an invite – drop a comment here – I have few invitation left.

Another online Mind Map app is Mindomo, unlike MindMeister it’s Flash based (MindMeister is AJAX based)
